Back on the 10 Sept we had a severe storm in the North of Iceland and many sheep were buried in snow in the mountains...I wrote a little about it here. Rescuers and their dogs have been continuing the search for the sheep and 19 days after the storm they are still finding some alive after being buried in the snow all this time.
An update: apparently up to 10,000 sheep have been lost but some are still being found alive buried under snow even at this stage, a month after the storm.
