Monday Ice: Grief

Grief, an intense sorrow due to loss, something we all no doubt have or will experience and not just once but probably many times.  In my 6° world of separation in the last week I have friends dealing with the loss of a parent, a cousin grieving for the loss of her home, burnt to the ground in one of Australia's recent devastating fires. And last night I witnessed an out pouring of grief from this small seaside town for the loss of a young teenage girl who died in a freak car accident last weekend.  This young girl would have turned 17 this past Saturday and gained her drivers licence, so the town folk drove in a long slow parade around the town as a mark of respect and as a way to help channel their grief.

  1. I'm sorry you have so much going on. These things seem to happen all at once somehow.
